Sahara Aldrich is from Southern California where her love of sunny days and desert formations took root. Her household was full of 90s florals and batik textiles that her imagination would get lost in. She inherited her mother's natural affinity for fashion and color sense and her father's hand for doodles. Here and there, she developed her aesthetic of organic shapes and mark making, line drawn illustrations, and a palette of bold and rich or sun-washed hues.

She received a BA in Art History from UCLA in 2010 and an MFA in Textile Design from the Academy of Art University in 2017. Residing in Brooklyn, she is inspired by the energetic city surrounded by history and diversity. Currently she owns and operates Sunny Side Studio- a modern jewelry shop made of metal and acrylic.
